ABOUT SELINA CURNUTT '26

Where are you from? I lived in Tribeca when I was young, and moved to Rye when I was four and have lived here ever since.

What are you tutoring this year? Algebra II Accelerated, Bodnar, D, G.

How long have you been at GA? I came to GA in sixth grade, making this my seventh year.

Favorite class right now? Either AP Economics or AP Spanish Literature.

Favorite GA tradition? I really like Ingathering. I think it is a great example of all of the great community service GA does!

What do you like to do in your free time? Do crossword puzzles, watch reality TV, and go shopping (especially with my Mom!)

What are you most looking forward to this year? Being finished with the college process and enjoying Senior Spring!

Favorite math topic? I loved the three consecutive Trig units in Accelerated Precalc.

Why are you excited to be a peer tutor? As the president of the peer tutoring program this year, I've been enjoying coordinating the tutors and their classes, and I'm even more excited to see a successsful program helping many students this year!

Fun facts!

I am taking two math classes this year (AP Calc and AP Stats).
I have two older brothers and a labradoodle named Griffin.
I'm allergic to 15+ things (including cold temperatutes).

Where are you from? I’m mostly from Greenwich, but I lived in Dallas when I was little.

What are you tutoring this year? Precalculus Plus, Weeks, B and C.

How long have you been at GA? Since second grade.

Favorite class right now? AP Calculus BC.

Favorite GA tradition? The maypole during Charter Day!

What do you like to do in your free time? I row…. a lot. But I also like to follow politics and the news.

What are you most looking forward to this year? Being a peer tutor!

Favorite math topic? Logarithms in Algebra II.

Why are you excited to be a peer tutor? I am super excited to try to hopefully my pass on my love of my math to others!
